When a uniquely British fashion brand approached Level requiring website development, we couldn’t wait to get brainstorming!
TDS (The Design Studio) are a daughter-mother fashion design duo based in Hawarden, near Chester. They established their independent fashion brand four years ago. The likes of Vogue, Elle and the Financial Times have since featured them, thanks to their unique story and distinctive style.
Through the power of Instagram, TDS quickly became a popular cult-brand within the fashion industry. They required eCommerce website development to reflect their evolving image and to position them more accurately within their market.
We were extremely excited to be working with TDS and approached the project full of ideas. We knew their website had to look as creative and quirky as their unique garments. Most importantly the website development needed to offer seamless user experience and convert visitors into online sales. The client also wanted to tell their brand’s story and highlight their daughter-mother heritage.
Our Creative Director and digital team united to create a winning front-end design, which was presented to the client prior to the website development stage commencing.
Imagery depicting retro polaroids, swatches and hand-drawn sketches created a ‘mood board’ effect. This hinted at the process the client undertakes to create their one-of-a-kind garments.
The use of video with bold animated text in the homepage header portrayed TDS’s edginess, created movement and showed off the garments’ finer details.
TDS have created over 12,000 faux fur jackets, with no two being the same. We admire TDS’s ambition to stand out from the crowd. We also thoroughly enjoyed working with a client who wasn’t afraid of pushing their boundaries.
